The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
