Three Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Honour

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Athlete of the Year award.
The three finalists have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show.
This year's winner will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.
The ceremony will be aired from 7 PM GMT.
Michelle Agyemang
Age: 19 Sport: Football
Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"Being nominated for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.
"Being nominated for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
